Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London during the 1970s when she learned the flute piano as well as the harpsichord for three consecutive years. She lived off of a student allowance and took off on a part-time job to supplement her budget. Lennox did not feel content with her skills compared to other students at Royal Academy and began looking for alternative paths. Lennox began her career as an instrument player with the group Dragons Playground. However, she left before her band was requested to take part in I.T.V.'s talent contest New Faces. She was the singer of The Tourists from 1977 until the year 1980. Here she met Dave Stewart who would later join Eurythmics. Then, Lennox started working on her solo first album Diva which came out in 1992. This album became a huge achievement, both in terms of selling and critically acclaimed. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album debuted in the month of October 2014. The C.D. The C.D. comprises Lennox's most loved blues, jazz, and soul songs from her childhood. Lepidoptera is a collection of four songs that were improvised by piano, which Lennox has released in May 2019. The E.P. is an accompanying piece for her installation of art in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art titled Now I Let You Go... It's also her first independently released album. The Tourists gained some minor recognition for her and Dave Stewart's work during the 1970s. The group went on through the 1980s to become the popular duo Eurythmics. Lennox started her solo career in 1992 when she released the album of Diva, which featured several hit songs such as Why and walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is the album she recorded as her first studio album in 1995. The album features covers of songs like The No MoreI love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale.
